Location: Leysin Switzerland

I am based in Leysin Switzerland. This Swiss village is very central in the Alps and easy to get to from Geneva, Basel and Zurich airports by train. The Swiss Valais, Oberland, Chamonix, Urner Alps and Val D'Aosta (Gran Paradiso, Cervinia etc) are all easily within a two hour drive.

I use Leysin as a meeting place where we can decide on the best venue to go to depending on the conditions and weather forecast. There are also some great climbs to do from Leysin itself.

Swiss Train Information The train is the easiest and most efficient way to get to Leysin from all Swiss airports. Allow 2 hours from Geneva airport to Leysin village. There is one change at Aigle where you need to transfer to the cog railway train (brown) to Leysin Feyday.

Leysin as a village has a lot to offer being a ski resort in the winter and a fantastic place for Alpine walking, alpine rock climbing and mountain biking in the summer. Click here for more information on Leysin

I can find suitable accommodation for you what ever your budget and venue in the Alps. Further information on booking.

Accommodation

Chalet Ermina is a comfortable Swiss Chalet providing B&B accommodation . Having a comfortable base from which to climb is very important and Ariane the owner will make your stay here a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Chalet Ermina is conveniently situated close the village center which has many bars and restaurants for evening meals and entertainment. Other standards of lodging can also be arranged in Leysin. Accommodation is not included in my fee (except for all inclusive courses) and costs around SFr55 for B&B.

Transportation on arrival
Reliable and comfortable transport whilst traveling between alpine venues is essential. I have a VW Passat Estate with 4 wheel drive which enables us to get to the most remote locations without difficultly. Reliability and 4 wheel drive are especially important during the winter months as being stranded or stuck at the top of a remote alpine valley is no fun in temperatures of -20*c.
