Arolla is a great venue being at 2000m. The conditions in this valley tend to be very reliable. We have a variety of routes here from roads side 30m high ice walls which are great training venues for refining technique and warming up to atmospheric high mountain routes with 2hr approaches.

Les Haudieres lower in the Val d'Herens also has much to offer including a classic couloir and steep 3 pitch free standing.

The Pension du Lac Bleu is an ideal place to stay. It is run by a lovely Belgian couple and is a stones throw from some great cascades just across the road.

It is also the start point for the walk (2hrs) in to the Cascade Ignes a grade 4 with huge mountain ambience.
